NSAI San Diego Chapter
The Nashville Songwriters Association International
(NSAI) San Diego Chapter is open to all songwriters and lyricists of
every genre and style, from beginners to pro writers.
The San Diego Chapter also focuses on writing music (songs, lyrics, instrumentals, and cues) for
sync placements in Film, TV, Trailers, Advertising/Commercials, Video Games, and other Media.
The purpose of NSAI is to educate and help members improve on the crafting of songs.
Membership benefits include monthly meetings, song evaluations, song contests,
networking with industry guests (like hit songwriters, publishers, music supervisors),
receiving discounts on NSAI events in Nashville,
and using the resources available on the NSAI website.
NSAI owns and operates the iconic Bluebird Cafe in Nashville, Tennessee.
Many up-and-coming as well as established songwriters and artists
have performed at the Bluebird, including
Taylor Swift (at age 14), Maren Morris, Lady A, Dierks Bentley,
Garth Brooks, Trisha Yearwood, Keith Urban, Carole King, Kris Kristofferson,
Faith Hill, Vince Gill, Mary Chapin Carpenter, Kacey Musgraves, to name just a few.

Additional Songwriting Groups in San Diego
Over the years, San Diego has had several songwriting groups,
most notably the San Diego Songwriters Meet Up (with Cliff Keller) and the
San Diego Songwriters Guild, but they are inactive at this time.
If you're looking for a new songwriting group, check out the NSAI San Diego Chapter.
All are welcome, and the first two trial meetings and song submissions are free.
After two meetings, there is a charge of $15 for non-members to attend.
NSAI San Diego monthly meetings are usually on the 3rd Sunday online on Zoom at 3:00 PM.
The in-person meetings are every quarter (January, April, July, October) at
Studio West in Rancho Bernardo, followed by an optional no-host
Meet & Greet at a nearby restaurant.
